Co-chairs
Dr. Alexander Schacht is an accomplished statistician with a PhD from the University of Göttingen and over 20 years of experience in biostatistics within the healthcare sector. He specializes in phase IIIb and IV clinical studies, balancing regulatory compliance with commercialization and HTA submissions. Alexander has authored over 70 scientific papers and is a prominent speaker at international conferences, sharing insights on methodological innovations and data-driven decision-making in the pharmaceutical industry.
As the founder of The Effective Statistician, Alexander is passionate about teaching and has created a platform that includes a popular weekly podcast and various online resources to support the education of medical professionals. His real-world experience and belief in the power of statistics to improve patient outcomes make him a respected leader in the field. He is also actively involved in professional societies focused on benefit-risk assessment and data visualisation.
Chantelle Cornett, BSc (Hons), is a Health Informatics PhD candidate at the University of Manchester and a Statistician at The Effective Statistician. With a background in data analytics, statistics, and statistical programming, she holds a BSc in Statistics from University College London and an MSc in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
